Remembrances
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of her arrival in Germany, Rebecca performed an all-American program in January 2014. The title Remembrances suggests--in addition to memory-- a commemoration. Webster's Dictionary also defines it as "a greeting or gift recalling or expressing friendship." And this is exactly how the concert was meant!
Rebecca was happy to be able to repeat the program (with some changes) as part of the American Recital Series of Nürnberg's German-American Institute. She was again accompanied by Professor Marcelo Amaral on the piano. The program included songs of Samuel Barber, John Duke, Charles Griffes, and William Bolcom.
