Both concerts were part of the Music University of Nürnberg's festival of contemporary music.  On April 20, I performed two short pieces of the Greek composer Konstantia Gourzi as a soloist, accompanied by Prof. Wolfgang Manz.  On April 23, four sopranos  performed the vocal works they had studied in a student recital of contemporary music: Lisa Orthuber (Aribert Reimann), Alexandra Köhler (Gloria Coates), Lucia Boisserée (Kaija Saarjaho), and Marina Skowronek (Viktor Ullmann/Ilse Weber).  All four joined with two percussionists to perform Steve Reich's piece "Know What is Above You", conducted by Junyoung Chae.

This semester (Winter 2018-19), I will again offer an emphasis on contemporary vocal music for students of the Hochschule.
